C.S. Lewis was a medieval scholar before and after his conversion to Christianity.  How did the medievals influence his faith and the writing we know and love?  Join Chris Armstrong to explore Lewis’ medieval influences and how they might inspire Christians today.


We’ll eat together at the lecture. Come at 6:00 pm for dinner; the lecture will start at 6:30 pm.

Speaker Bio: Chris R. Armstrong directs Opus: The Art of Work at Wheaton College, where he also serves on the biblical and theological studies faculty. He is a Duke grad, earning his Ph.D. in church history in 2003.

Chris has written Patron Saints for Postmoderns (IVP, 2009) and Medieval Wisdom: Finding Authentic Faith in a Forgotten Age with C. S. Lewis (Baker Academic, May 2016). He is senior editor of Christian History magazine and founding senior editor of the Patheos Faith and Work channel. He blogs at gratefultothedead.wordpress.com.
