Edward Dixon

Edward is the Director of the Center for Christianity and Scholarship. He earned his Ph.D. in New Testament at Emory University. His dissertation is titled, “Forming the Mind of Christ: The Protreptic Unity of 1 Corinthians 8:1-11:1.” He earned his B.A. in Public Policy from Duke University and an M.A. in Religion from Yale Divinity School. He is author of “Descending Spirit and Descending Gods: A ‘Greek’ Interpretation of the Spirit’s Descent as a Dove in Mark 1:10,” Journal of Biblical Literature 128 (2009). You might find Edward around Duke’s campus meeting with faculty and students or leading a class or discussion group for the Center. In his free time, Edward likes to find a boat and water or, more locally, get on the basketball or tennis court.

Operations Manager

Andrea is the Operations Manager at the Center for Christianity and Scholarship. Andrea received a bachelor’s degree from Gordon College in Anthropology and Biblical Studies and a Master of Divinity from Duke Divinity School. She lives in Durham with her husband, three children and furry dog.
